Asking a chatbot a research question usually gets you a paragraph from memory. In Task mode, Menus AI searches the web, reads the pages, compares what it finds and hands back a structured deliverable — with the sources kept alongside the result.

  • Task mode can search the web, read public pages and compare multiple sources.
  • Ask for the format you need: summary, comparison table, briefing or full report.

Write a research request that gets a usable answer

State the question, the scope, the output format and what to compare. Mention the time frame when recency matters.

Task mode vs Chat mode

Use Task mode when the answer needs tools: web search, reading files, calculations or creating a file. Use Chat mode for quick explanations, brainstorming and writing help. You pick the mode in the message box before sending, and the credit budget is shown first.

Add your own material

Attach PDFs, Word documents, spreadsheets, presentations or text files and ask Menus AI to combine them with web research — for example, "compare the attached supplier quote with current public prices".

Does Menus AI cite its sources?

Ask for source links in your request; Task mode keeps the links it used alongside the result.

Can it read pages behind a login?

It reads public pages. Attach files for material that is not publicly available.

How are credits used for research?

Task mode reserves up to 8 credits; model calls and paid searches each use 1 credit, and unused credits are returned. The budget is shown before you send.
